Update

Woah, i can feel the spider webs when i logged in here... Cant remember the user id! Tried 3 times then managed to get in. Hahaha... Time really flies. Things are getting more and more exciting and thus we're sleeping lesser. Hahaha... Yep, we'll be married in abt 2 months time! Ok... So now in the middle of the nite, why am I not in bed?! Cos I'm scanning in our photos... Photos of us when we were babies and all for the montage.

Let's see. The last update was in Apr! Hahaha. Now it's already Jul! 3 months have passed. We've gone for our final fitting on 13th May, and also our photo shoot on 20th May. Then we went for our 2nd appt on 10th June, and the title of the flat has officially transferred to us. But we wont be moving in so soon cos of some prior arrangements. We have went to select our photos to be in our photo album on the same day. Started to do up an initial guest list... Then got to see the final album layout on 8th jul. Then we started to plan the design of our matri card and also going to get our dinner invites printed. Had food tasting yesterday - 11th jul at york hotel. Then just came back from kel's place a few hours ago to discuss honeymoon plans. Woah! We look back and we really feel that we've come a long way. Hahahha... Next up...

The matri invites, dinner invites, collection of wedding album, doing up and finalising the montage, the songs and in no time, we'll be married!

One more month has passed

Time really flies. Been one month + since we last updated. Lying on my bed and waiting for the Zzzzzzz monster to come, so decided to update. We both took leave yest. Went HDB for 1st appt then to bridal studio to choose outdoor gown n another gown. In the end chose another bustier, a sweet simple gown and a bright pink evening gown. Next up will be the final fitting on 13th may nite then 20th may will be the photo shoot. 2nd appt at HDB on 10th jun. Wow! Time really flies, so much more things to settle... Hmmmm.... -Qin

Gown Fitting Day 1

We both took half day leave to go down bridal concept to try my gowns n his jackets. Had fun trying the different designs. Couldn't take photos so can't show... But we decided on 3 gowns n 2 jackets only. Cos it's pretty tiring n according to Sally, the outdoor gown should be chosen next month only cos the range changes... Hmmmm...

Chose a tube dress with lots of sequins, a fitting kua n a purple, black laced evening gown with a little train... :)

A memorable day

Today has been a fruitful day. We rose early and went to ikea n courts at Tampines to walk ard... Then we went for viewing of 5 houses. At the end of the day, we bought another house... Hahaha... I mean another house which we had viewed months earlier. Although it was at a premium, but we both know that it was money well spent, no regrets. Gave the $1k booking fee and soon another 4 more for deposit... Then soon it will be the balance of the COV then we'll be left with minimal... So really praying that God will see us through... Cos the wedding dinner and honeymoon money got to be provided supernaturally.. But it has been a fruitful day... A huge investment day... More updates soon....

Update on House

Ok... We still havent got a house, it's back to ground zero. We will be looking at other houses le... Time to move on. Why hold on to something that is so expensive and doesn't meet our timeline? It's nice area, quiet, serene, nice view (maybe not really), quite accessible, amenities nearby.. But the COV is seriously way too high.

So we will hunt for new grounds... Bedok area, high floor, corner unit, windy, low COV... Is there no such houses available out there?!?!?! Frustrations build up... But we continue to put our trust in Him... Knowing that as we build His house, He will build ours... :)

House

As the search continues.. the frustration builds up.. Is it so hard to get a roof over one's head in other countries? As I read on blogs and forums and other reports on public housing, it seems to me that more and more people are cursing HDB. There are more than enough such reports already and I shall refrain myself from blogging these.

Praying and believing that this search will end soon with the ideal house being found. Good price and value for money. High floor with good amenities around. Nice neighbours too... Are we too picky?

Less than 8 months to go...

It's end of Jan le... And planning is in the midst. Everyday we are talking about it and everyday we plan...

The next thing in line is to choose the gowns and suits. 22nd Mar...

What have we done so far?

1. Chose the hotel and paid the deposit in Nov 08 last year
2. Decided on our wedding planner... The world famous Mr Rao... We know that all things are in safe hands. :)
3. Chose our rings and paid for them in start of Jan 09. But the ring size nt available locally, need to be imported, which takes abt 3 mths? Hmmmm... I chose the guy design as well, cos wanna same as Ken and it looks better!!! Hahaha... Less diamonds, but more classy... I love my ring!!! Cant wait for it to come...
4. We decided on the bridal studio and finally paid our deposit in late Jan 09.
5. We decided on our photographer... Videographer? Hmmm... Cant recall now... :p
6. I decided on my jie mei team le... already 6... Hahaha...
7. Our parents agreed on the number of tables to give to my parents...

Hmmmm... That's all... Seems like a lot more to be done... Like taking photos, wedding montage,
invitation card designer and all... So 'chuan' Heh... We wanna quickly find a hse now... One which we absolutely love... One that is spectacular... One that is comfortable... God will provide... He will... We just have to trust Him... Trust Him more...

Bridal Studio

We have decided on our bridal studio and going to pay the deposit later tonight... After new year, I'll choose my gowns n then photo shoot probably will take place in May...

A little history

Kenneth and I met in River Valley High School. We were classmates in Sec 1 and 2. He started pursuing me towards the end of Sec 2. We got together on 10021998, in Sec 3. I was in Dance and he was a scout. We then went on to study in SAJC together. Later on, he went to serve the nation while I went to complete my Accountancy Degree in NTU. After NS, Kenneth went on to NUS to complete his Engineering Degree (Aeronautical) in NUS. I worked in Deloitte and Touche for 3 years before joining into City Harvest Church to be an accounts executive. Kenneth joined a big company upon graduation last year and has been there since.

Last year, being a leap year, i made plans to propose to him as he says that he was the one pursuing me to start the r/s. So i should be the one proposing to him... So after 10 years of courtship... I made arrangement and proposed to him the nite before his 25th bday. I brought him to Keppel island - Prive there and arranged a mini proposal plan. Bought him a flower that says 'Will you bee with me' or something along the line... Ya, so I asked him if he will marry me la... and he said ya... Hahaha... It was a thing that i did it to pacify him... and for the fun of it...

Then on 20052008, we went to Msia... Johore... To go 'fly'. He was taking his PPL course there and made me accompany him there. Little did i know that he was planning to propose to me. Haha... Well, the details of that proposal was in the 1st entry in his personal blog... Basically, he just flew me in his jet. This was the 1st time he flew a 'passengar' up and he popped the question in the air... and of course I agreed... Yep yep, so from there... We went on to prepare for the wedding and all...

Now as I look at the ring, i think it's just so beautiful. I wanted a solitare diamond ring... something very simple... And the one that Ken got me was exactly the design i like. Amazing...

To date, we have booked our hotel, paid the deposit, bought our rings (waiting for delivery cos no size in spore) and decided on our bridal studio. I will be going down to try the gowns with my gal friends later to see if wanna sign with that BS... Then we are also hunting for our love nest. And all these is above our normal workload and all. But it's fun... More updates soon...

This is the first entry and today is the 12th of Jan 2009. 2 days back, we celebrated our anniversary. We've been together for more than 10 years 11 months. More on our wedding coming up...
